The early Hawaiians used every part of the Kukui tree. Candles and torches were made from the seeds rich with oil, as well as medicines, flavoring for foods, and of course, lei.
This handsome lei entwined with the fragrant tuberose is popular for men, especially grooms and groomsmen.
After drying the tuberose can be removed leaving the kukui lei to be worn again and again, a wonderful gift and keepsake.
Care: Sprinkle with water or lightly mist before refrigerating. The lei should be moist, but not sitting in condensation or moisture.
Life: Five to six days. Ships well.
